Peugeot RCZ Vision & E-T16 Concepts Debut at Paris 2026

Peugeot RCZ Vision & E-T16 Concepts Debut at Paris 2026

Peugeot has revealed two all-electric concept cars at the 2026 Paris Motor Show: the RCZ Vision, a futuristic coupé with a solid-state battery, and the E-T16, an 816 hp “Hyperhatch” that is the most powerful Peugeot ever built. The 91st Paris Motor Show runs from 13 to 18 October 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Wikipedia

Both concepts debut Peugeot’s new “Feline Future” design language and preview the Hypersquare steer-by-wire steering control. The E-T16 is the closer of the two to production. Explore the brand’s current lineup on our Peugeot EV specs page.

Peugeot RCZ Vision: a solid-state coupé with a 10-minute charge

The RCZ Vision revives the double-bubble roof of the original RCZ coupé (2009–2015). Peugeot describes it as a brand manifesto rather than a production preview, and ArenaEV notes that no production RCZ is planned yet.

Key RCZ Vision specs:

SpecRCZ Vision
Power500 hp
RangeUp to 600 km (about 373 miles)
Battery110 mm solid-state, developed with Factorial Energy
Architecture1,000 V, STLA One-based
Fast charging10–80% in 10 minutes
Consumption11.5 kWh/100 km (WLTP target, to be confirmed)
Seats4

The ultra-thin battery is what allows the low, sleek silhouette. The 1,000 V architecture is what makes the 10-minute 10–80% charge claim possible. If it reaches production, that would beat most fast-charging EVs on sale today. You can check current charging figures in our EV comparison tool.

Fewer screens, more focus

Inside, Peugeot rejects the “more screens” trend. The RCZ Vision uses transparent Micro LED displays above the Hypersquare, plus a floating central display that can be switched off and nearly disappears. It also debuts brake-by-wire (a first for Peugeot) and steer-by-wire, with a Level 2++ hands-free driving function. The cabin uses Alcantara and PELINOVA recycled leather, with a clock by French watchmaker SERICA.

Peugeot E-T16: the 205 T16 reborn as a 816 hp Hyperhatch

The E-T16 celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 205 T16’s 1985 and 1986 World Rally Championship titles. Peugeot says it is the most powerful Peugeot in history and the ultimate vision of the next-generation E-208.

Key E-T16 specs:

SpecE-T16 Concept
Power816 hp, three electric motors (one front, two rear)
0–100 km/h2.5 seconds
0–300 km/h16 seconds
Battery / voltage85 kWh, 800 V
RangeUp to 400 km (WLTP combined)
Fast charging10–80% in under 15 minutes
BrakesFour 380 mm discs, vertical hydraulic handbrake
TyresMichelin, 275 mm front / 315 mm rear

Built to last on a track

Peugeot Sport developed a “Side Cooling” system that cools the battery cells through their side walls instead of the base. Peugeot says this lets the E-T16 complete three laps of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, more than 60 km, in Performance mode without losing power. Torque vectoring works across both axles, with three driving modes plus a fully customisable fourth.

The design borrows heavily from the 205 T16: widened arches, a “cat-ear” rear wing, Winchester Matte Grey paint, and a backlit red line that echoes the original’s pinstripe. The entire rear section tilts open to reveal the motors and suspension, just like the original’s engine bay.

What it means for the next Peugeot E-208

Both concepts use the Hypersquare, a rectangular steering control that Peugeot confirms will appear on the next-generation E-208. The RCZ Vision uses the production-spec version. This follows the recently unveiled E-208 GTi, so a performance-focused 208 family looks increasingly likely. For what’s on sale now, see our Peugeot model list.
