DS F3VER Concept: Electric Preview of the Next DS 3

DS Automobiles has unveiled the F3VER, a compact electric concept that DS calls a manifesto for the brand’s future design direction. It goes on public display at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, where the 91st edition runs from 13 to 18 October at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Wikipedia

DS stresses the F3VER isn’t a specific production car. But at 4.19 metres long, it is widely read as a preview of the next-generation DS N°3. See the brand’s current electric models on our DS Automobiles specs page.

What is the DS F3VER?

The name is a play on “fever”, the instant positive emotion DS wants the car to trigger. It was designed and developed entirely in-house and explores three ideas: powerful desirability, ultra-customisation and freedom of use.

Official dimensions and key facts:

SpecDS F3VER
Length4.19 m
Width1.84 m
Height1.46 m
Wheelbase2.70 m
Boot space400 litres
PowertrainElectric (battery, power and range not disclosed)
Signature colourCosmic Blue dichroic paint

A 2.70 m wheelbase and a 400-litre boot are large for a car this size. DS says that gives it interior space and versatility from larger segments, in a body made for city driving.

A new face for DS

The front is built around a vertical “totem” carrying the DS emblem, with new Y-shaped light signatures. The rear repeats the idea with a digitalised DS logo and 16 LED panels that look like an infinite light tunnel. They sit on an ultra-light magnesium structure inspired by the vaulted roof of the Grand Palais in Paris.

Customisation as part of the design

DS treats personalisation as part of the design itself:

  • Cosmic Blue paint: a colour developed for the concept that shifts from vivid blue to deep violet as the light changes.
  • Extended two-tone body: the colour split runs back to the lights, then wraps around the tailgate, sides and bumper.
  • Customisable roof ring: a decorative strip that owners could tailor to their own taste.
  • Animated rear lights: UX light animations in the rear totem that personalise the car, interact with its surroundings and convey information.
  • Wheels: lightweight geometric design with champagne-coloured details and the “Clous de Paris” guilloche pattern.

“Design Intelligence”: making more from less

The F3VER debuts DS’s “Design Intelligence” philosophy: creating uniqueness with fewer parts. On the concept this means a single headlamp and daytime running light unit, one-piece bumpers, and no add-on plastic trim around the wheel arches and lower body. DS says the approach cuts weight, improves aerodynamics and raises perceived quality. It adds that Stellantis AI tools helped designers explore options faster, and that AI doesn’t replace creativity.

Is this the next DS 3?

DS hasn’t confirmed it, but several outlets expect the F3VER to preview the DS N°3. One report says the DS N°3 is due in 2028, built on the STLA One platform and sold only as an EV. Electrifying reports DS is targeting roughly 500 km of range, possibly rising to about 550 km WLTP later. Treat all of this as unconfirmed, because DS’s own release gives no range, battery or launch date. As for what’s missing, DS hasn’t shown the concept’s interior. DS F3ver Concept +2

The F3VER shares the show with other Stellantis EV concepts, including Peugeot’s RCZ Vision and E-T16. To follow the group’s electric range, browse Citroën, Peugeot and Opel, or use our compare tool to see current EVs side by side.
